Weird winter? It's time to break out the T-shirts!

It’s cold. Well, it’s cold today while I’m writing. This year has been an up-and-down ride with temperatures in southcentral Kansas. So, maybe your plans for a knitted cap or jacket promo item have been on hold.

It’s hard to get folks excited about a wooly hat on a day that is 60 degrees, after all.

But that doesn’t mean the unseasonable weather says you can slack off on your promotional advertising.

Just maybe skip the logo’d ski boots.

After all, a T-shirt can be worn year-round. Yes, they might be tucked underneath a dress shirt or a sweater part of the time, but they are also great for running to the store on those crazy, springlike Kansas days in the dead of winter. They are worn to the gym – and just think of how many folks you work out with every day – and even on walks and neighborhood runs.

T-shirts good investments in the age of COVID
We’ve said it before, these are tough times for everyone. In order for your business to come out of this enduring pandemic in a good position, you’re going to have to spend marketing dollars.
On average the number of “Impressions” (how many times the brand on the T-shirt will be seen) is 3,400 throughout its life span. That means if you purchase T-shirts for your business and the average cost was $7 per shirt, your actual ROI (return on investment is merely 2/10 of a cent! https://media.asicentral.com/resources/Global-Ad-Impressions-Study.pdf

Take the chance to step up your shirt game
Let’s go back to the gym. The Gym+Coffee blog suggests women wear moisture-wicking clothing. https://us.gympluscoffee.com/blogs/community/what-to-wear-gym-women
“But unfortunately, while convenient, this gym wear option has some major drawbacks. Clothes that are 100% cotton absorb every bit of sweat your body produces, causing clothes to become damp, soggy, and heavy,” they write. “Instead of cotton, look for gym wear designed with sweat-friendly moisture-wicking synthetic or blended fabrics, designed to be breathable while still repelling sweat, to keep you comfortable, dry and fresh during your workout.”

It’s time to Logo Up!
Don’t let worries of inflation keep you from doing the marketing your business needs. Let’s put it in a historical perspective: McGraw-Hill Research study analyzed 600 companies during the 1981-1982 recession. They found that companies that maintained or increased advertising had sales increase by 256% over companies that cut their advertising. All post-WWII recessions studied by the American Business Press have found that advertising aggressively during recessions increased sales and profits in the following years.

We understand it’s a bit scary to make the investment right now, but just think about how much fun it will be to sit down with our team and develop a new swag campaign in this new work world and you have the opportunity to put your company in front of potential customers who might not have been potential customers before the pandemic.
